Stellenbosch Agri Park

How we made it safe.

Infrastructure for the entire development

Infrastructure for the entire development

The objective of this project is to develop an Agri-Park on Portion 128 of the Farm Welmoed no. 468, located approximately 5km from Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, South Africa. The construction will encompass civils, services, and infrastructure for the entire development, which will consist of 22 buildings dedicated to agricultural purposes and eleven self-storage units.

The self-storage units will be situated on the west side of the site, while the remaining 22 buildings will be located on the eastern side. The Agri-Park's strategic position along the R310, just northeast of the Vlaeberg Road intersection, and 1km southwest of the Annandale Road intersection makes it an ideal location for businesses operating in the agricultural sector. It provides convenient access and ample space for both larger and smaller enterprises in the trade and manufacturing industry, particularly those interested in agri-tourism.

Played a vital role

Played a vital role

One of the crucial components of this project is the construction of a Wastewater Treatment Plant to support the Agri-Park's operations. By establishing rural industrial hubs across South Africa, this initiative aims to promote agricultural production and efficiency, enhance household food security, and contribute to national food sovereignty. Additionally, it seeks to foster agrarian transformation through rural enterprise development and the creation of employment opportunities, addressing the persistent challenges of poverty, inequality, and unemployment prevalent in rural areas.

Cairnmead Industrial Consultants had the honour of being appointed as the health and safety consultants for this remarkable project. Our team of experienced consultants played a vital role in providing essential legal advice and expertise, ensuring that the project was executed in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993. We extend our sincere gratitude to all those involved in the project and acknowledge their dedication and hard work throughout its duration.
